Severe Weather Preparedness Events

Get prepared for severe weather season by visiting Tuscaloosa County EMA at these events and coming to these training classes! All events are free and open to the public. 

 

Saturday, November 3, 2018 — Get TuscALERT at Tuscaloosa Farmers Market! Need some help getting signed up for TuscALERT? Need your weather radio programmed? Come visit us at Tuscaloosa Farmers Market (at River Market) on Saturday! We’ll be out there all morning helping you get prepared for severe weather season. Beginning at 7 AM through noon.

 

Thursday, November 8, 2018 — NWS Storm Spotter class at Alabama Fire College. Curious about severe storms? Want to become a certified storm spotter? Come to our in-person class at the Fire College at 6 PM and learn all about severe storms and what to look for when spotting. National Weather Service Birmingham will be in town to teach this class.
